Margaret Ann Parker

Margaret “Peggy” Ann Parker, 70, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, after a long road following a stroke.

There will be a memorial service in Cape Cod in the summer of 2018.

Peggy was born Sept. 29, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Aaron and Ann Collier. She was one of five children. Peggy graduated from Ellington High School in 1966 and married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Parker Sr., from whom she was later divorced.

Peggy was a dedicated and passionate hard worker in everything she did. She enjoyed laying on the beach at Cape Cod and quahogging during low tide, which resulted in some great “chowda.” In her free time, Peggy loved to cook and sew for family and friends. She was also a good tennis player.

Peggy is survived by her children, James and wife, Amy, of Kindred, N.D., Christopher and wife, Tricia, of West Suffield, Conn., and Jerry and wife, Michelle, of West Des Moines, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; her siblings and sisters-in-law, James Collier and wife, Rosalyn, of San Antonio, Leona Collier of Decatur, Thomas Collier of Decatur, Kenny Collier of Somers, Conn., Christine Tizaiani and husband, Gordon, of South Windsor, Conn., and Mary Parker of Wethersfield, Conn.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Stroke Association or the Association to Preserve Cape Cod.
