David L. Brown, 75, of Sunset, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at his home.
A memorial mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at St. Jerome ‘s Catholic Church in Bowie with Father Richard Collins officiating. David’s body has been donated to science at the University North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth.
David was born April 9, 1938, in Coleman to Elmer Vernon “Bo” Brown and Letha Givens. He graduated from Coleman High School and Texas Tech University in Lubbock and retired as an independent salesman for Byron Jackson Pumps. He worked as a volunteer for Bass Hall in Fort Worth for eight years and was a Bedford Knight of Columbus. He loved traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Abbey-Brown; his parents; son Bo David Brown of Hickory Creek; stepdaughters Lisa Jones of Wichita, Kan., Lynette Anderson of Odessa and Lana Doherty of McKinney; sister Mary Jane Strole of Runaway Bay; and 12 grandchildren.
