THURSDAY, MARCH 7

County Road 4849 — Complainant reported neighbors were in the street yelling and shooting guns. Deputies arrived and saw two men and one woman standing in the street yelling. One man had a shotgun and the other man and woman were holding handguns. As deputies approached, the two men turned and walked towards deputies still holding their weapons. Deputies gave commands to drop the weapons. After the second command all parties dropped their firearms. Deputies secured the weapons and educated the parties of what not to do when approaching law enforcement with firearms. The three adults stated they were outside to shoot their neighbors’ dogs due to the dogs being aggressive and coming onto their property. Deputies also educated the three on the laws regarding protecting their property and reckless shooting. As the deputies spoke to the dog owners, three large aggressive dogs attempted to attack deputies standing in the street. A deputy deployed his taser and made contact with a large pit bull. The dog retreated to his residence. Weapons were unloaded and given back to all owners.

tuesday, march 5

County Road 4757 — Midlothian ISD Police received a call that one of the school’s laptops was recovered. Laptop was placed into evidence for safekeeping to be collected by Midlothian ISD Police.  

County Road 2391 — A woman stated she had charges on her bank account she did not authorize. She wanted to pursue criminal charges.

County road 3555 — Responding to a physical in progress, deputies arrived to find the parties separated. Deputies placed primary aggressor in custody and took the woman to jail without further incident. 

Strawberry Lane — A family disturbance was reported. Deputies responded to conduct an investigation and filed charges accordingly.

County Road 3343 — A vehicle was stopped for having an expired registration, and two open beer cans were observed in plain view in the front cup holders. Deputies learned that the driver had an active warrant for his arrest for possession out of Wise County. He was placed under arrest. Probable cause to search the vehicle for open alcoholic containers was explained to the owner of the vehicle and consent to search the vehicle more in depth was asked for, but was denied. K9 was deployed on an open-air sniff and quickly produced a positive alert. During the probable cause search, marijuana and methamphetamine paraphernalia were located. The passenger claimed all items and was later placed under arrest for his respective charges.

Chisholm Trail middle School — A phone call was received stating a teacher was high in class and passed out while teaching class. A wide variety of pills were located on her person, in her classroom and in her vehicle during an administrative search.

Private Road 3820 — Complainant said four young juveniles were left overnight at a residence. Deputies determined the children, ranging from ages 4 to 11, were at the residence. It was determined proper care was not being provided for those children. CPS was contacted, and workers responded. Contact was made with the father. The children were released to the father. Charges are being pursued against the mother.

Pettit Drive — A woman advised her son was missing from the residence. Deputies thoroughly searched the area, and the male juvenile returned home. While still on scene, a disturbance broke out between the juvenile and his father. In order to prevent further issues, the juvenile was taken to his grandfather’s house for the night.

Dodge City Trail — Juvenile complainant advised his dad was abusing him physically. Upon further investigation it was determined father of complainant was attempting to take away his phone. The juvenile was grounded, and a verbal disturbance broke out. No contact was made during this altercation. Disciplinary actions were deemed to be reasonable, and juvenile was released back to father, the custodial parent. 

wednesday, march 6

PRivate road 1509 — Two callers advised their friend at this address made self-harm statements and had taken pills. Deputy arrived and spoke with the woman. Deputy learned she took a large amount of Xanax and Dilaudid. She was voluntarily transported to Medical City Decatur for a mental health evaluation.

Marshal Road/Boat Ramp — Deputy made contact with the driver of a vehicle and learned he had an active warrant for his arrest out of Wise County. The warrant was later confirmed, and he was placed under arrest. The driver fled on foot while handcuffed. Deputy found the driver, placed him in the patrol vehicle and transported him to the jail without incident.

thursday, march 7

County road 4849 — Deputies made contact with two males inside a 2000 Chevy Silverado. Deputies collected information leading to a traffic ticket for one of the juvenile males for not having a driver’s license and no confirmed insurance for the vehicle. 

farm road 730 — Deputy observed a vehicle with no license plate and initiated a traffic stop. Deputy made contact with the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. Deputy observed multiple signs of deception and requested consent search, to which was declined. Boyd K9 made scene which resulted in a positive alert. Deputies searched the vehicle which resulted in methamphetamine being located. Driver was placed into custody and booked in the WCSO jail.

County Road 3672 — A woman reported she started getting bills from NTTA on a vehicle that hasn’t been driven in some time. She advised that the back license plate is missing from the vehicle. Complainant does not wish to press charges, only to resolve the outstanding toll bills that she did not acquire.

friday, march 8

Private Road 1509 — Female complainant was having an emotional breakdown about her boyfriend leaving her. She was checked by medics and refused transport. She had a friend go to her and console her.

Private Road 4440 — A man stated his prescriptions were stolen out of his mailbox, and the VA would not refill the prescription without a report. Caller stated it was delivered on Feb. 6. 

texas 101 north — Complainant stated her son was at her residence and had an active warrant. He was arrested for his Montague County warrant and booked into Wise County Jail.

saturday, march 9

Farm road 2265 — Complainant’s dog was found deceased from a gunshot wound. Deputies determined that the dog had sustained a possible gunshot wound to the chest. An offense report was completed for animal cruelty–non-livestock.

Dyre Drive — Complainant stated a known thief was stealing from new construction homes. Four bathtubs were taken from the new builds.

Private Road 4219 — A dog was chained to a post. Deputy assisted animal control officer in getting the dog loose.

sunday, march 10

u.s. 81/287 north — Deputy conducted a traffic stop and detected the odor of alcohol emitting from the driver’s breath. Field sobriety tests were conducted, and the driver was placed in custody.

monday, march 11

County Road 4680 — A civil process server attempted to serve papers to the owner of the property. Property owner refused to identify and collect the papers and advised someone was trespassing on his property. Homeowner requested the civil process server be issued a criminal trespass warning. The warning was issued.

Sunflower — A woman advised two men were checking her car door handles. She advised one man entered an unlocked truck, but nothing was found missing upon inspection. Deputies were unable to locate the men in the area.

Wilson Court — Complainant reported her soon-to-be ex-husband threatened to change the locks to the residence while she was away at an appointment.

County road 1651 — A third party caller reported a woman crying on the road. Deputy made contact with the woman who reported her boyfriend showed up at her stepmother’s house which led to an argument. The boyfriend then bit her hand and left in her vehicle.

sheriff’s office — Complainant reported allegations of harassment and solicitation of prostitution.

tuesday, march 12

Moreland Street — A man advised his vehicle had been burglarized and his wallet was taken. He advised his debit card was later used at a Walmart in Fort Worth. 

sheriff’s office — A woman reported that she purchased a kitten off the internet, and the sender never sent the kitten. She is disputing the incident with the bank in an attempt to get her money back. The complainant wishes to press charges and will attempt to have the scammer’s websites taken down.

wednesday, march 13

County road 4693 — Deputy responded to a welfare concern and learned the caller was using law enforcement to harass his ex by calling in repeated and baseless welfare checks on their daughter. Complainant stated she wished to prosecute for harassment.

Preskitt Road — A woman stated her adult grandson had a firearm in her vehicle and did not know how he purchased it. The man left the scene, went to Watauga and possibly had ideations of self-harm. Deputy requested Watauga PD to check on the man. Firearm was taken for safekeeping.

McCracken Street — Complainant had his air compressor stolen. He received a call from a pawn shop stating his compressor was at the shop. Complainant knew who took it and desired prosecution.

thursday, march 14

County road 4657 — A vehicle was stopped for false license plates. Vehicle left the residence where known drug activity has been identified. Deputy conducted an investigation for narcotics due to previous traffic stops. No illicit drugs were found. Deputy towed the vehicle to WCSO Impound due to the fact the vehicle was uninsured, and had fictitious plates.

farm road 51 south — Caller stated her daughter’s husband is attempting to hit the caller’s vehicle. Caller stated the daughter was hiding in the office of the business with a child.

Bartlett Court — A man stated he took his lawn mower to get repaired at a local repair shop. He stated when he returned to try to get his mower, the business had closed down and another person was renting the building.

private road 4437 — After deputies responded to a verbal disturbance, both involved parties were separated and interviewed individually. Both stories lined out. No physical actions were taken by either party. A man recently lost his job, and they’ve been arguing over finances and having to fix the man’s truck as it’s not currently running. Deputy counseled both parties and required them to separate for the remainder of the day. Both parties agreed to separate. 

texas 114 east — An armed woman had reportedly pointed a handgun at the complainant and his family. Upon arrival, deputy contacted the woman’s boyfriend, who provided that the woman had also discharged the firearm into the ground following a verbal argument. Since the incident happened in Rhome Police Department’s jurisdiction, they took the woman into custody.

Pilot Travel Center — Deputy responded in reference to a report of a frantic man who had requested law enforcement assistance. On arrival, deputy determined that the man was experiencing a possible medical episode, and he was transported voluntarily to Medical City Decatur for further medical evaluation.

Private Road 4907 — Complainant reported a verbal disturbance with a previous tenant. The complainant stated a previously-evicted tenant had come onto the property making vague threats of physical harm. The complainant requested the tenant be issued a criminal trespass warning from the property. The tenant was not on scene.

county road 4856 — Complainant reported that a man and woman with a U-Haul truck were backed into their driveway. The complainant observed the two exiting the residence, but it appears that nothing was taken from the residence. The complainant does want a criminal trespass warning issued to the two from the residence. Deputy drove around looking for the two but was unable to locate them to serve the criminal trespass warning.

friday, march 15

Minnow Street — Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the above residence for a vehicle violation. While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, they informed deputies of the whereabouts of a wanted felon. Deputies relocated to the above residence and knocked on the door of the trailer multiple times. While on scene, a resident of the main residence showed deputies a text message from the trailer owner asking her not to inform deputies the wanted felon was inside. After informing the wanted felon inside the trailer to exit or deputies would make forced entry inside, the wanted felon exited and surrendered to deputies.

County Road 4659 — A man reported a known female went into his garage without his permission and stole a speaker, tool box and a charger. 

Church Street — Deputies attempted to serve a warrant for a wanted felon. Upon arrival, deputies found the front door ajar. Deputies performed a safety sweep of the residence and located the wanted man curled up in a crawl space. He was placed in custody and transported without incident.

saturday, march 16

West Kentucky Street — A man stated his fiancé is intoxicated and struck him in the face twice. Deputies arrived to the residence where both parties were separated. Deputies obtained both parties’ statements. The aggressor admitted she struck the complainant. The aggressor was placed in custody for assault by contact family member Class C.

sunday, march 17

farm road 51 north — Complainant called about his separated spouse coming into the house and grabbing clothes. Deputies spoke with complainant and suspect. Suspect signed a criminal trespass warning and was informed not to return to the residence.

PRivate road 4765 — A woman stated she and her husband were arguing, and the husband got mad. She tried to call 911 and her husband prevented her from calling 911 by taking the phone away. The husband then tackled her. Deputies observed minor lacerations on the complainant. She declined medics. Deputies placed husband in custody and transported him to the jail without incident.
