A tractor-trailer struck an electrical pole Wednesday morning in front of Seven Hills Elementary in Newark, knocking out power to more than 600 customers.
Power was fully restored all Oncor customers along Farm Road 3433 shortly before 8:30 p.m., according to Oncor Area Manager Sabrina Easley.
The wreck caused the pole to fall over on the semi and resulted in three downed poles and a damaged transformer along FM 3433, according to initial reports. No injuries were reported with the wreck.
Traffic was rerouted along FM 3433 near Seven Hills Elementary.
Along with hundreds of residential customers, power was knocked out at all three Northwest ISD campuses along FM 3433 — Seven Hills, Prairie View and Chisholm Trail. The campuses were able to serve lunch and are continuing with the school day, according to Northwest ISD Director of Communications Anthony Tosie.
Power was restored around noon to the schools.
