LOCAL RADIATION SERVICES TO BE OUTSOURCED — Local cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy may have to travel to Denton or Azle for treatment once the acquisition of Wise Health System is finalized. Medical City Healthcare’s pending agreement to purchase Wise Health System in Decatur does not include the Cancer Center building. None of Texas Oncology’s 280 locations are in Wise County. The closest option from Decatur is in Denton, near Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. Texas Oncology also has a branch in Azle.
