Bridgeport ~ Steven Lee Perez Amaya, 25, went to be with our Lord Sunday, March 31, 2024 in Paradise.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at St John the Baptizer Catholic Church in Bridgeport with burial at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Steven was born on Feb. 8, 1999 to Paulo and Hermelinda (Amaya) Perez in Decatur. He graduated from Bridgeport High School and worked in the construction industry for several years. Steven was engaged to the love of his life, Jocelyne Medina. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, fiancé and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Felipe and Guadalupe Perez, Catarino Amaya, and Maria Del Pilar Ibañez.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Paulo and Hermelinda Perez; his brothers, Christopher Perez, Jr., Rafael Felix and Lewis Hernandez; his sisters, Jocelyn Porter and husband, Luke, Michelle Perez, Jennifer Delgado and husband, Xavier, and Samantha Lusset Hernandez; his fiancé, Jocelyne Medina; his nephews, Oliver, Jonathan, and Saint Delgado, Gabriel and Michael Porter; his niece, Melanie Porter; several cousins and a host of friends.
