Lucy Hedari
Medical City Decatur announced Monday that it has named Lucy Hedari as its chief financial officer.
Hedari has served as interim vice president of finance at Medical City Decatur since Dec. 2023. According to the Medical City Decatur press release, Hedari has worked on strategic initiatives at the Decatur campus, including processes to track patient volume. She started in her new role March 1.
“Lucy’s tremendous financial knowledge and analytical strength will help drive strategic initiatives at Medical City Decatur,” said Medical City Decatur CEO Jason Wren in a Monday press release. “I am confident that Lucy’s addition to our executive leadership team will help advance our vision as the destination of choice for healthcare excellence in Decatur and surrounding communities.”
Hedari has direct reporting responsibility for all financial departments, including finance, patient access, health information management, case management, revenue integrity, IT&S and supply chain, according to Medical City.
Hedari began her career at HCA Healthcare in 2018 as a controller for Medical City Fort Worth, per the press release. She has served in progressive leadership roles at Medical City Fort Worth and Medical City Weatherford as the vice president of finance.
Hedari holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas Woman’s University. She is a 2022 graduate of the HCA Healthcare Leadership Essentials program.
