THURSDAY, MAY 2

COUNTY ROAD 3825 — Complainant stated she was held at gun point by a man who lived at her residence five months ago. She stated the man took her boyfriend’s truck as well as various tools. She stated a woman who also lived at the residence within the past five months was also involved. She stated the man and woman put something in her drink that drugged her to the point of passing out for 12 hours. She stated when she woke up from the previous drugging, she smoked meth and called a friend but did not report the incident to authorities. The complainant’s boyfriend who is residing in the Montague County Jail, called his ex-wife to come check on his house because he knew something was wrong. Once the ex-wife was made aware of the incident, she called and reported the incident.

THURSDAY, MAY 2

COUNTY ROAD 1304 — Complainant reported two men were fighting on the property. One man punched and choked the victim, which caused the victim to bite the aggressor’s fingers. The aggressor was taken to Medical Center Decatur. Both parties declined to press charges. Charges will be filed at large for the aggressor. 

DECATUR RV PARK — While attempting to serve a warrant, deputy was made aware that he was staying at an RV park near Decatur but did not know which one. Deputy relocated to FM 1810 and located a vehicle which matched the description of the one the wanted man was driving. Deputy knocked on the RV door and the wanted man answered the door. Deputy placed him in custody and transported him to the county jail for booking.

MTC BRIDGEPORT  — Deputy spoke with the captain of the unit. A man was escorted out of the prison by his captain and was taken into custody without incident.

BOYD AREA — Deputies were notified of a vehicle pursuit initiated by Boyd PD. Deputies responded to assist. Boyd PD advised the vehicle was traveling on Texas 114 and exited FM 51 towards Decatur. Deputies caught up to the vehicle and observed it driving on the wrong side of the road and into oncoming traffic while also driving onto the shoulder presenting a danger to the public. Deputies continued the pursuit as the driver slowed to 40 mph while failing to maintain lanes. The driver fled onto U.S. 81/287 at low speeds and continued to drive onto the medians, off the roadways and swerving recklessly between lanes. Deputies deployed spikes with a successful deployment. The two driver side tires were deflated and began to break apart in pieces. The driver continued southbound on U.S. 81/287 at 20 MPH. The vehicle became inoperable and the driver ran off the roadway and into a grassy berm. The driver exited the vehicle and followed deputies’ commands. The driver was heavily intoxicated and stated he did not remember driving and believes he woke up somewhere on U.S. 81/287 during his comatose driving spree. Boyd PD arrived on scene and took over the investigation for their pursuit.

COUNTY ROAD 3825 — A woman advised she was held at gunpoint and robbed the previous evening by known suspects who fled in a now reported stolen vehicle.

COUNTY ROAD 4877 — Deputies received information that a highly wanted, male felon was currently at a known residence. Due to the known flight risk of the man, deputies approached the residence from a distance in the dark and on foot. The man was standing outside at the back of the residence and ran as soon as deputies approached. He jumped a fence and disappeared near a highly wooded area with a large, adjacent stream. Deputies searched but could not locate him. As deputies were about to leave, a deputy observed through a thermal imaging device a heat signature the size of a small animal moving in the water underneath a large, low hanging tree and thick grass. The deputy zoomed in and recognized the shape as a human head floating above water but surrounded by branches, invisible to the naked eye. The head would submerge and come back up, while the rest of the body remained completely underwater. Deputies then approached the shore across the stream, shined flashlights at the water and could hear the man taking breaths. He then ignored all commands to surrender. Two other deputies then had to trek through the woods on the other side of the stream and finally approached the man as he remained hidden in the water. The man finally surrendered and was escorted out of the water and back through the woods. The man was covered in mud, hosed off and made to change clothes before being allowed in a deputy’s patrol unit. He was then transported to jail for his outstanding warrants and additionally charged with evading.

FRIDAY, MAY 3

TEXAS 114 WEST — A man advised his storage unit was burglarized.

PRIVATE ROAD 4573 — A woman advised two of her roommates were yelling behind closed doors. Deputies investigated and separated all parties. 

JACKSBORO STREET — Deputies recovered a trailer stolen from Jones County.

SHERIFF’S OFFICE — Complainant who resides in Idaho stated over the phone he had been overcharged more than $7,000 for custom car parts from a local auto shop. The complainant stated the purchase was completed online and he has not received a refund of heard from the business since February.

SATURDAY, MAY 4

BRIDGEPORT COUNTRY CLUB — Deputy responded to a report of multiple people involved in a physical altercation at the Bridgeport Country Club. Deputy determined a physical altercation occurred between two men, resulting in one of the men having physical injuries. The other involved man was gone upon arrival. Deputy collected pertinent information and completed a report. 

JOHNSTON DRIVE — A domestic disturbance took place where the husband assaulted his wife and left the scene before deputies arrived.

LEXINGTON COURT — Deputies were working a disturbance across the street when the homeowner attempted to leave his property. Homeowner drove through the grass due to patrol vehicles being in the street and struck a power transformer box. Deputies documented the damages and notified Oncor. 

FARM ROAD 920 — A man advised his vehicle was damaged by a pellet gun.

MONDAY, MAY 6

U.S. 380 — Complainant stated his employee used his commercial credit card for personal use. He believed the female suspect was able to charge approximately $110,000. She paid medical bills and transferred money into her Pay-pal account. Complainant stated the woman did not have authorization to use the card fir personal use. He stated the woman also had the deeds to his properties and titles to his vehicles.

PRIVATE ROAD 4801 — Complainant advised her boyfriend left the residence intoxicated. He returned to the residence before deputies located the vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and was advised the man and woman got into a verbal disagreement. She left the residence for the evening.

COUNTY ROAD 3655 — A man advised his residence was burglarized by his niece and her boyfriend. Two firearms were taken.

TUESDAY, MAY 7

CHICO HANSON TEXAS 101 — Deputies were dispatched to see if a vehicle was located at the location. Dispatch notified deputies OnStar was tracking a stolen vehicle out of Georgia. Deputies located the stolen vehicle and placed it in impound for further investigation.

DODGE CITY TRAIL — A woman reported her ex-boyfriend stole her phone and left after arriving uninvited at her residence. She declined to press charges.

FARM ROAD 730 — Deputies conducted a traffic stop and discovered the paper plate displayed on the vehicle to be fictitious and altered. Deputies placed the driver in custody and towed the vehicle.
