ONLY IN WISE...THURSDAY, MARCH 7: County Road 4849 — Complainant reported neighbors were in the street yelling and shooting guns. Deputies arrived and saw two men and one woman standing in the street yelling. One man had a shotgun and the other man and woman were holding handguns. As deputies approached, the two men turned and walked towards deputies still holding their weapons. Deputies gave commands to drop the weapons. After the second command all parties dropped their firearms. Deputies secured the weapons and educated the parties of what not to do when approaching law enforcement with firearms. The three adults stated they were outside to shoot their neighbors’ dogs due to the dogs being aggressive and coming onto their property. Deputies also educated the three on the laws regarding protecting their property and reckless shooting. As the deputies spoke to the dog owners, three large aggressive dogs attempted to attack deputies standing in the street. A deputy deployed his taser and made contact with a large pit bull. The dog retreated to his residence. Weapons were unloaded and given back to all owners.
