City moves forward on public safety park plans

The Decatur City Council Monday approved funding a public-safety themed splash pad in the park space between the Decatur Fire Department and new Decatur Police Department facility.  The splash pad will be blue and red with various elements and logos to incorporate the nearby fire and police department, with stars and fire hoses. Decatur PD eyes dispatch services partnership

Three area police departments are discussing a partnership on emergency dispatching services that may lead to a new approach to emergency telecommunications in Wise County.
