A horse accident near Alvord led to one woman being flown to a Fort Worth hospital Saturday night.
The accident occurred around 8 p.m. at an equine ranch off Private Road 2391. The woman was apparently injured during a barrel racing event.
The patient sustained serious injuries in the accident, said Wise County EMS Chief Randall Preuninger.
PHI Air Medical 10 transported the rider to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
