After being shuttered Monday and Tuesday due to the lingering effects of Winter Storm Fern, Wise County schools will wait another day to welcome back students.
Several districts will remain closed Wednesday, Jan. 28 due to hazardous driving conditions from the winter storm. After discussing conditions with the Wise County Office of Emergency Management Tuesday morning, the decision to close the educational facilities Wednesday was announced 2 p.m. Tuesday.
This includes:
- Decatur ISD
- Bridgeport ISD
- Boyd ISD
- Paradise ISD
- Slidell ISD
- Chico ISD
- Alvord ISD
- Victory Christian Academy
- Wise Christian School
At the time of publication, information regarding closures at Northwest ISD, Victory Christian Academy and Weatherford College Wise County was unavailable.
