All Wise County school districts will be closed Monday, Jan. 26 due to hazardous driving conditions from the winter storm.
The schools announced the decision at 2 p.m. Saturday after discussing conditions with the Wise County Office of Emergency Management.
This includes:
- Decatur ISD
- Bridgeport ISD
- Northwest ISD
- Boyd ISD
- Paradise ISD
- Slidell ISD
- Chico ISD
- Alvord ISD
- Victory Christian Academy
- Weatherford College Wise County
Yesterday, Weatherford College announced that all of its campuses will be closed Monday. This includes Weatherford College Wise County. All classes will move to the online Canvas learning system for the day.
Decatur ISD Superintendent Taylor Williams said school leaders will continue monitoring conditions leading up to Tuesday for any additional changes.
It’s expected to remain freezing through Tuesday morning, The forecast shows it heating up above freezing Tuesday afternoon.
