SUNDAY, SEPT. 21

100 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 4431 — Caller advised an individual was banging on the door and attempting to gain entry into the house. While deputies were in route, a physical altercation ensued. Upon arrival, deputy spoke with the suspect, who stated he suffered a knee injury and could not get up. At this point, the man denied medical transport. Investigation revealed the man instigated a physical altercation due to his personal belief that some beer cans he found on his property more than a mile away were related to the caller, and he attempted to force entry into the residence. Upon being made aware of the pending criminal charges of burglary of a habitation, terroristic threat, and assault Class C, the man became increasingly concerned for his potential knee injury and requested transport to the hospital. Offenses to be filed at large, and a criminal trespass warning was issued.

MONDAY, SEPT. 15

U.S. 81/287 SOUTHBOUND AT HUBBARD EXIT RAMP — Deputy was dispatched to assist another K9 deputy during a traffic stop. The K9 deputy advised a probable cause search of a vehicle had been completed and one of the occupants had been located with an active arrest warrant. Deputy took custody of the other occupant and the active arrest warrants were confirmed. Deputy transported the person to the Wise County Jail, and upon being searched again, three baggies containing heroin, hydrocodone and acetaminophen, and half a consumed tablet (possible Xanax) were found hidden in his waistband area. Deputy took possession of the illegal narcotics, and the person was booked into the Wise County Jail.

600 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 4841 — A man advised a custom luggage rack was taken out from in front of his business on Sept. 14. Complainant had video and wished to press charges.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 18

CHICO AUTO PARTS — Complainant advised someone cut their northwest corner fence and burglarized two vehicles.

400 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 4791 — A woman advised her soon-to-be ex-husband has been communicating with her with an active emergency protective order in place.

100 BLOCK OF NORTHWOOD COURT — A man advised his identity was compromised for the fourth time. His driver’s license and Social Security number was used for fraudulent bank account and charges.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 19

200 BLOCK OF LUKE ROAD — A woman advised her husband was causing a verbal disturbance. Husband left prior to deputy’s arrival. It was determined the husband made unwanted contact. Due to the call earlier in the day, an offense report was generated for continuous violence against the family.

1700 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 3855 — Complainants said a dead puppy was discovered inside their residence, presumably killed by a known previous tenant.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 20

EAST FRANKLIN AND WICKHAM STREET — Deputy located two vehicles involved in a crash at the intersection. Deputy cleared the intersection to resume normal traffic flow and conducted a crash investigation. No major injuries were reported on scene. Both vehicles were driven away from the scene.

700 BLOCK OF DECATUR STREET — A man and woman advised an unknown man had walked on their property between midnight and 2 a.m. that morning. The man advised the unknown person had taken a crowbar and damaged the bumper of their vehicle as well as stick a large nail in their tire.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 21

FARM ROAD 3433 AT U.S. 81/287 — Caller was sending text messages to 911 stating she was in a vehicle with a person she had a protective order against and said “please help me.” Deputies searched the area for the described Volkswagen vehicle. Dispatch later advised the man had exited the vehicle and the caller stated she no longer needed help. Deputies later observed the Volkswagen heading northbound on U.S. 81/287 and initiated a traffic stop and spoke with the woman. She was identified as the protected party on a protective order. Later, Rhome officers advised they found the man on U.S. 81/287 and FM 3433. Deputy was able to identify the man. Dispatch confirmed the protective order. Deputy placed the man in custody and transported him to the Wise County Jail for violation of bond or protective order.

4400 BLOCK OF NORTH U.S. 81/287 — An actively aggressive dog bit an individual, causing injury. Upon deputy’s arrival, the bit individual was being treated by medics while deputies were attempting to contain the dog. The dog aggressively launched at deputies when the dog was dispatched. Upon further investigation, it was discovered another patron of the RV park recklessly discharged a firearm. No arrest was made, and a report was generated.

100 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 1111 — A man advised he was pushed by his son which resulted in unwanted contact and apparent minor injury. Deputies relocated to the residence and took the son into custody for assault.

100 BLOCK OF PRIVATE ROAD 4215 — Complainant stated someone ran through her fence causing damage. Deputy was able to locate the vehicle parked about a mile down the street at a neighbor’s residence.

MONDAY, SEPT. 22

500 BLOCK OF WEST STATE STREET, ALVORD — During warrant service based on Montague County information, a person was found to have harbored a fugitive and was subsequently arrested.
