THURSDAY, FEB. 12

200 BLOCK OF STUART STREET — Deputies responded to a fiber cell tower site behind the address. An employee of the telecommunication company advised an unknown intoxicated man was upset with their work lights and generator from their fiber trailer. The reporting person agreed to turn a few of the lights off, and the man left. After continuing to work, the employee later exited the trailer and discovered the fiber junction cabinet was completely destroyed, and all the fiber lines/power lines were cut and ripped out.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 11

100 BLOCK OF CATTLEMAN’S CREEK ROAD — Complainant advised a woman had physically assaulted her husband.

1900 BLOCK OF FARM ROAD 2264 — An 84-year-old woman explained that she provided money to a man for vehicle registration after being told she had won a 2025 SUV. Deputies completed paperwork for a fraud report.

100 BLOCK OF CEDAR DRIVE — An anonymous caller advised he had hostages and was demanding currency. Deputies responded, secured the area, and determined the call to be fictitious in nature. Deputies filed an offense report pending further investigation.

HUDSON STREET AT CHAMBERS STREET — A traffic stop was made on a vehicle. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, a 1 ounce bag of marijuana was located.  The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana.

THURSDAY, FEB. 12

COUNTY ROAD 4925 AT NORTH STAR — Complaint reported multiple items stolen from job site and damage to heavy equipment. Deputy investigated and observed damage to one of the Conex containers as well as the wiring harness to the front end loader. Deputy was informed that diesel was stolen from both tanks at the job site.

U.S. 380 BUSINESS AT MILL STREET — Deputies were patrolling on Business 380 in Decatur when a traffic stop was conducted for expired registration. During the traffic stop, probable cause was established and a vehicle search was conducted. The driver was later placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance.

FRIDAY, FEB. 13

100 BLOCK OF HONEYSUCKLE — Deputies were dispatched for a 911 hang-up/open line hang-up. While in route to the address, contact was established with the caller who informed dispatch that a man had struck her in the face and stomach. Deputies arrived and an investigation was conducted. A man was arrested for Class C assault family violence.

2200 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 2360 — Deputy responded for a missing person report for a 17-year-old male. The teen was recovered at approximately 7:30 p.m. that evening.

SATURDAY, FEB. 14

100 BLOCK OF BANDANA CIRCLE — Complainant advised an unknown person has sent numerous text communications and called the complainant regularly over the course of approximately eight months. Complainant advised an unknown vehicle was also seen sitting in front of her home, which the complainant believes to be related.

100 BLOCK OF NORTH MESQUITE — A woman stated her elderly neighbor came to her house and said there is no running water or electricity at her house. She stated the elderly woman was using rain water to flush the toilet and thought the elderly woman needed to go to a shelter. Informational report was taken, and an Adult Protective Services (APS) referral was completed.

500 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 1560 — Deputies responded to a report of an elderly woman who advised a person based in Vegas contacted her multiple times and befriended her. He then tricked her into believing he was an investor and solicited money from her. The woman provided the man with approximately $3,500 before realizing the he was not a legitimate investor. She wished to pursue criminal charges.

SUNDAY, FEB. 15

700 BLOCK OF CARDINAL STREET — Deputies responded to a disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend. It was determined that the disturbance began as a verbal argument, and the man had become irate and punched the woman in the face causing injury. The man was arrested and charged accordingly.

MONDAY, FEB. 16

100 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 4461 — A man advised an unknown person entered his residence without his consent, taking his wife’s jewelry.
