WEDNESDAY, AUG. 13

200 BLOCK OF WEST MAGINNIS STREET — Two men were yelling at each other. During the course of the investigation it was determined that a neighbor had thrown a rock and damaged the other neighbor’s gutter. The victim wished to purse charges, and the neighbor was placed in custody. 

MONDAY, AUG. 11

100 BLOCK OF CREEK CROSSING — Complainant reported a theft and provided the serial numbers for all electronics that were stolen.

400 BLOCK OF BIG SALTY DRIVE — A man advised he and his wife are getting a divorce. During the course of the divorce, his wife made statements of terroristic threats towards him.

500 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 4421 — Deputies responded to a disturbance and spoke to both parties but were unable to determine a primary aggressor. The woman advised she would stay with a friend, and the man agreed to stay at the residence. 

TUESDAY, AUG. 12

1500 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 3791 — A reckless shooting was reported. Deputies made contact with two separate parties who alleged that the other shot at them first. Deputies were unable to determine a primary offender. The case will be forwarded to an investigator.

 WEDNESDAY, AUG. 13

100 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 4380 — A man advised he had willingly purchased Bitcoin through the internet and placed the Bitcoin in a trust wallet. The complainant then provided the wallet number to a scammer. The complainant advised he had invested approximately $200,000 in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency.

600 BLOCK OF PRIVATE ROAD 4906 — Complainant advised he engaged in mutual combat with his former boss over a dispute on the property. The complainant also advised he had a sale agreement for a pickup with his boss and claimed the boss had stolen the truck.

2300 BLOCK OF U.S. 380 WEST — Complainant advised a man had made verbal threats to kill them. Deputies reviewed an audio recording of the man stating the threats. The man was placed in custody. 

 THURSDAY, AUG. 14

100 BLOCK OF NORTH DAVIS STREET — A man physically assaulted his live in girlfriend, according to deputies. He was placed under arrest for assault family violence-bodily injury and transported to the Wise County Jail without incident. 

 FRIDAY, AUG. 15

FARM ROAD 730 AT BRIGHTON OAKS DRIVE — Deputies received a call for service in reference to an intoxicated driver in a nearby city. Deputies located the vehicle and observed numerous traffic violations. Deputies conducted a traffic stop which was taken over by the original agency.

3000 BLOCK OF TEXAS 114 WEST — While in route to a medical emergency, WCSO dispatch informed deputies that EMS were staging due to an intoxicated male swinging a baseball bat around. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the caller who advised his son-in-law picked up a baseball bat and threatened to hit him. Deputies placed the son-in-law in custody and transported him to the county jail for booking.

 SATURDAY, AUG. 16

900 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 1326 — Complainant stated he has been harassed for about a month.

100 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 4846 — Caller stated a neighbor was firing off rounds, and one entered into his daughter’s bedroom. Deputy arrived on scene and confirmed property damage. Elements for deadly conduct were met. Suspect was contacted, and caller determined he preferred to handle civilly. No charges were pressed. 

2600 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 3655 — A man said his daughter was being scammed for approximately $4,000 dollars and wished to have a deputy come collect a statement from her. Deputy arrived on scene and spoke with daughter who said she was scammed with purchasing Apple cards. Deputy collected witness statement and filed charges accordingly.

100 BLOCK OF YAMPA COURT — Complainant said a man posted his personal information on social media. This caused the complaintant to be alarmed. The complainant wished to pursue charges in the matter.

 SUNDAY, AUG. 17

8200 BLOCK OF U.S. 81/287 — A man stated his trailer was stolen along with his golf cart. The golf cart was later recovered down the road. 

BRIAR BEER AND TOBACCO — During the course of the traffic stop, narcotics were located. Driver and sole occupant was placed into custody and charged accordingly.

300 BLOCK OF KRISTI LANE — The Wise County Sheriff’s Office was advised a fire was started by a man who was shooting off fireworks. Two vehicles were said to have been burned, and the fire was threatening a residence. Upon arrival, deputies identified three burned vehicles, a burned utility pole, a damaged car port and a large area of grass burned. Deputies spoke with the victim and multiple witnesses on scene who identified a suspect. The suspect was said to have fled the area in a silver sports utility vehicle. Information was collected supporting an arson offense to be forwarded to members of the Criminal Investigations Division for further investigation.
