Decatur ~ Vicente “El Güero” Adalberto Galindo, 74, went to be with our Lord Friday, March 31, 2023.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur, with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Vicente was born May 27, 1948 to Patricio Galindo and Guadalupe Montes in Zaragoza Coahuila, Mexico. He was united in marriage Nov. 1, 1969 to Maria del Socorro DeLuna in Zaragoza Coahuila, Mexico. Vicente retired after working in maintenance at TXI for many years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricio Galindo and Guadalupe Montes.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are, his wife of over 53 years, Maria del Socorro De Luna Galindo of Decatur; his children, Mario Galindo and wife, Blanca, Norma Garza and husband, Silverio, Yolanda Navin and husband, Scott, and Ruben Galindo and wife Kelly; 11 grandchildren; his siblings, Martha Galindo Galindo, Rosa Galindo Rivera, Antonio Galindo, Melchor Galindo, Guadalupe Galindo Gloria, Ernestina Galindo Gomez, Juan Galindo, and Raul Galindo; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
