NEW ESD NO. 2 FIRE STATION PLANNED — Wise County Emergency Services District No. 2 is preparing plans to construct a new 10,000-square-foot fire station in Boonsville. The station, to be located at Farm Road 920 and County Road 3655, is estimated to cost $4 million, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Last week, the ESD No. 2 board approved several utility easements and selected a bank to finance the project after naming Grossman Design Build as the construction manager at-risk. The station is expected to be completed in late 2026 with groundbreaking next month. Read more online here.
