STORMS IN WEEKEND FORECAST — Wise County could see one or even two rounds of storms this weekend. Some storms may be strong to severe with primarily a damaging wind and hail threat according to the National Weather Service. Rain chances are 30 percent Saturday night and 80 percent Sunday night. Otherwise, it will be sunny and warm this weekend with highs in the lower- to mid-90s with overnight lows in the mid-70s. Parts of Wise County saw a little rain on Thursday, with 0.06 of an inch recorded in Decatur.
FATHER/SON POOL PARTY — Bridgeport Parks and Recreation will host a Father/Son Luau Pool Party 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Bridgeport City Pool. Tickets are $12 per person, ages 2 and under free. Purchase tickets at bridgeport.recdesk.com.
KID FISH — The annual Texas Game Warden Ronnie Brooks Memorial Kid Fish event is Saturday at Wise County Park on Lake Bridgeport. The event begins at 8 a.m. with weigh-in by 11 a.m. Hot dogs and snacks will be provided. Kids 16 and under receive a free T-shirt and fishing pole while supplies last.

OIL BOWL — Decatur girls basketball coach Drew Coffman and former Lady Eagle Reese Christian will compete with the West All-Stars at the Oil Bowl showcase 6 tonight at Wichita Falls Legacy High School. Former Boyd football coach Ian Ritchey will serve as a co-coach of the West All-Stars in the Oil Bowl football game 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Wichita Falls ISD’s Memorial Stadium.
DECATUR CARES — Decatur Cares Mobile Pantry is 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday. Cars can begin to line up in the First United Methodist Church East parking lot off Miller Street before 7. CEMETERY ASSOCIATION MEETING — The annual meeting of the Pleasant Grove No. 1 Cemetery Association is 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the cemetery gazebo. A covered dish luncheon will follow the business meeting.
