Update for Friday, February 13, 2026

STORMS POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND — If your Valentine’s Day plans involve going out, you might want to keep the umbrella handy. The weather forecast includes a 100 percent chance of rain on Saturday with the possibility of storms. Isolated strong storms capable of producing small hail and gusty winds may develop, but the threat of severe weather is low, according to the National Weather Service. Wise County could see one-half inch to an inch of rain with this weather system, which is expected to clear out by early Sunday morning. Remember that even if we do see rain, the county remains under a 90-day burn ban.
