The Wise County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the disappearance of a woman who has been missing for nearly two weeks.
Monica Sanford, 48, was last seen in the area of Cuba Road and County Road 3225 in the Bridgeport area Aug. 24, WCSO Chief Deputy Eric Debus said.
“Investigators with the Wise County Sheriff’s Office along with the Texas Rangers, are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Monica,” Debus said.
According to the description provided by the WCSO, Sanford is 5-foot-6-inches tall and 260 pounds with long brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey tank top and blue jeans.
Texas Equusearch, a volunteer search and recovery organization, is also involved in the case. According to the organization’s information, Sanford is 200 pounds with brown hair with highlights along with tattoos “But God” on the inside of left arm; “Blessed” on left hand, between index finger and thumb; and a flower and leaves design on right top forearm. She also has a small scar over her left eye.
