Paradise running back Luke Brown‘s five-touchdown performance — in the first half — thrust the Panthers back into the win column to the tune of a 48-7 victory over Millsap.
The high-powered Panthers responded to last week’s heartbreaking 34-27 loss against Eagle Mountain with 48 unanswered points in the first half at Bulldog Stadium. Paradise, ranked fifth in Class 3A Division I, put the game away early and improved to 3-1 in its final dress rehearsal before district play.
Brown finished with four rushing touchdowns and caught one of Paradise quarterback Ayden Olalde’s three touchdown passes. The senior led the team on the ground with 109 yards, scoring on nearly half of his nine carries.
Paradise wide receiver Elijah Jennings was nearly as explosive. He took the top off the Bulldog’s defense twice to finish with 91 yards and a touchdown on two receptions. Layne Smith caught the third touchdown pass for a 21-yard score.
Olalde remained blemish-free on the short night. He completed 8 of 12 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns.
