A reward is now being offered for information about a woman missing from the Bridgeport area since last month.
Monica Sanford, 48, was last seen in the area of Cuba Road and County Road 3225 near Bridgeport Aug. 24, Wise County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Eric Debus said.
WCSO investigators and the Texas Rangers are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding Sanford’s disappearance.
Wise County Crime Stoppers announced last week that a cash reward is being offered for information on the woman’s whereabouts.
According to the description provided by the WCSO, Sanford is 5-foot-6-inches tall and 260 pounds with long brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray tank top and blue jeans.
Texas Equusearch, a volunteer search and recovery organization, is also involved in the case. According to the organization’s information, Sanford is 200 pounds with brown hair with highlights along with tattoos “But God” on the inside of left arm; “Blessed” on left hand, between index finger and thumb; and a flower and leaves design on right top forearm. She also has a small scar over her left eye.
