Peggy Duncan Jeens, 88, of Decatur passed from this earth Monday, June 2, 2025.
Celebration of Life is 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at Victory Church in Decatur.
Peggy was born Dec. 8, 1936, to Edward and Hazel (Avery) Duncan in Oxford, NC. She was united July 15, 1967, to Charles George Jeens in Fairborn, OH; married happily for 31 years before his passing. Peggy was a retired teacher after many years in the education industry in Virginia. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend to many who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Hazel Duncan and her husband, George Jeens.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Libby Severance and husband, Andy of Decatur; a grandchild, Duncan Severance of Decatur; extended family and a host of friends.
