Mantooth
Pauline (Polly) Mantooth, 89, of Bridgeport, received her wings March 19, 2026, surrounded by her daughters and granddaughters.
Polly was born July 1, 1936, to William Henry and Edna Pearl Hayes at their home on East 1st Street in Fort Worth.
She was a loving wife to Carson for 45 years, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who cherished her family. A woman of strong faith, she always considered herself blessed beyond measure. Trusting in God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Mantooth; parents, William Henry and Edna Pearl Henry; six sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie Fuller; Frances Meek; Ben Nix Jr. and wife, Christy; Tammy Sherwood and husband, Steve; Dwayne Nix and wife, Jamie; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service is 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2026, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107; with a visitation one hour prior to service beginning at 1:30 p.m.
