A two-vehicle wreck Friday afternoon in Bridgeport injured five people, including two juveniles who were flown from the scene of the crash.
The wreck happened around 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of Cates and Crittendon streets in Bridgeport and involved a pickup and a “side-by-side” UTV with the five juveniles on board.

Bridgeport Police Chief Steve Stanford said the UTV was occupied by five juveniles between the ages of 13 and 17. He said all were from Canada and were in town for a motorcycle race.
“They were northbound on Crittendon at Cates, or FM 920, and ran the stop sign, failing to yield right of way, and were struck by a Dodge half-ton pickup,” Stanford said.
Two ground ambulances were dispatched to the location due to the number of injured patients.
Two of the juveniles received serious injuries, Wise County EMS Chief Randall Preuninger said. They were flown to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, one by AirEvac Lifeteam 68 and the second by PHI-Med 10.
Stanford said two other juveniles in the UTV were taken by ground ambulance to Medical City Decatur, and the other juvenile was checked by medics and released at the scene.
He said the driver of the pickup, 31-year-old Donald Brown of Mineral Wells, and three juvenile passengers in the truck were not injured.
Bridgeport Police Department, Bridgeport Fire Department, Medic-2, Medic-5, Rescue-1, Squad-1 and EMS-1 all responded to the scene.
