Medical City Decatur names new CFOFree Access


Bodiford

Medical City Decatur is officially under the leadership of a new chief financial officer.

Tyler Bodiford was named chief financial officer (CFO) at Medical City Decatur, the hospital announced this week. He began working in the new role Monday. 

Bodiford was previously CFO for HCA HealthTrust North Texas Supply Chain, overseeing strategic and financial operations across two HCA Healthcare divisions since June 2024. He previously served as the assistant CFO and controller at HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

“We are pleased to welcome Tyler to our executive leadership team,” said Medical City Decatur CEO Jason Wren in a press release. “His financial knowledge and analytical strengths will help drive strategic initiatives and help advance Medical City Decatur as the destination of choice for healthcare excellence in Decatur and surrounding communities.”

Medical City Decatur said Bodiford has direct reporting responsibility for all financial departments, including finance, patient access, health information management, case management, revenue integrity, information and technology services, and supply chain.

According to the release, Bodiford earned a master’s degree in business administration from Bethel University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Hedari

Bodiford replaces Lucy Hedari who had served in the CFO role at Medical City Decatur since March 2024. 

Hedari was named CFO of Medical City Denton and Medical City Argyle last month.
