Decatur sophomore midfielder/forward Braelyn Meador’s kicks rarely missed the net in her second campaign with the Lady Eagles.
Meador led Decatur’s offense with 34 goals and added 10 assists en route to cliaming the District 4-4A MVP award.
Serving as the anchor of the Lady Eagles’ back line, junior midfielder Aubrey Weeks was the motor for Decatur’s defense, earning the league’s Defensive MVP honor after helping the Lady Eagles secure six shutout wins.
Freshman midfielder/striker Rylan Kennedy was selected as 4-4A’s Offensive Newcomer of the Year. Kennedy was second on the team in scoring behind Meador with 10 goals, and led Decatur in assists with 14 in her rookie campaign.
Decatur first-year coach Kendall Pryor was tapped as the district’s top coach. Pryor led the Lady Eagles to an 11-8 record, earning the 4-4A title and playoff wins against Canyon (7-1) and Frenship Memorial (4-0) before falling to state semifinalist Waxhahchie Life in the third round for the second straight campaign, 2-1.
Bridgeport sophomore Lilly Brown secured the Sissies’ lone league accolade, named as the Utility MVP.
A midfielder, Brown proved to be a Swiss Army knife for Bridgeport, also playing as a center back and forward.
