Grace Larue Clayton, 101, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, in Weatherford. Grace was born July 23, 1924, in Chico, beloved daughter of Charles and Emma (Guffin) Meek. She graduated from Chico High School in 1941. She loved to garden, play volleyball, square dance and play “42”. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and cooking for them. She was an active longtime member of Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico. She will be deeply missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her. Grace was proceeded in death by her parents, seven siblings, husbands, Donald Lasiter and Reno Clayton, and one grandson, Jeremy Young. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Holt and spouse, Fred Holt of Weatherford; daughter, Cindy Willis and spouse, Donald Willis of Ponder; and son, Tom Lasiter and spouse, John Trevino of Ft. Worth; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside Celebration of Life will be at a later date at Chico Cemetery in Chico.
