A high-speed pursuit through Wise County ended with the arrest of an Oklahoma man Tuesday.
According to information provided by the Wise County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a call at 10:34 a.m. from DFW Airport Police about a stolen Ford F150 entering northern Wise County from Denton County.

BRENDON KYLE SADOWSKI
Sgt. Tony De La Cruz, a Texas DPS spokesperson, said troopers located the suspect vehicle on Farm Road 51 north of Decatur and initiated a traffic stop, but the driver, Brendon Kyle Sadowski, 35, of Edmond, Okla., refused to stop, and a pursuit ensued.
Troopers followed the vehicle southbound on FM 51 as it headed toward Decatur at speeds of around 90 miles per hour, according to call sheet notes.
As the pickup entered Decatur, it exited onto U.S. 380 and headed west before taking the exit to U.S. 81/287 south through town. The notes state that as the vehicle encountered more traffic, it decreased its speed to around 80 to 85 mph. Somewhere in the south part of Decatur, the pickup got into the northbound lanes of U.S. 81/287.
As it continued north of Decatur, the driver accelerated to speeds topping 100 mph while weaving in and out of traffic, according to the call notes. Law enforcement attempted to lay spikes on the road near a bridge in Alvord, but the pickup exited the business route and instead drove through downtown Alvord.
The pickup got back onto U.S. 81/287 north of Alvord and continued northbound with multiple law enforcement units in pursuit, including the Wise County Sheriff’s Office.
The chase came to an end near the Wise/Montague County line.
“The pursuit ended when a DPS trooper performed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT). Sadowski then fled on foot and was arrested shortly after,” De La Cerda said.
The call sheet notes the officers pursued Sadowski into a field and were able to catch him and place him in custody around 10:54 a.m.
Alvord Fire Department and Wise County EMS were dispatched to stage in the area if needed for any possible injuries, but they were later canceled.
Wise County Jail records indicate Sadowski was arrested for evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, evading arrest or detention and reckless driving. His total bond was set at $25,000. He was also being held on a Denton County warrant for driving while intoxicated third or more.
De La Cerda said the investigation is ongoing.
