One person was arrested Tuesday afternoon after a reported domestic disturbance/family violence incident in Chico.
Authorities responded to the scene in the 700 block of Hovey Street around 12:45 p.m.
“[Deputies] were advised that 46-year-old Georgie Armstrong rammed his wife’s vehicle and climbed onto the roof of his RV/home,” said Wise County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Eric Debus. “Deputies arrived on scene and arrested him without incident. His spouse was transported to Medical City Decatur with non-life threatening injuries.”
Texas DPS also assisted the sheriff’s office, Debus added.
Wise County EMS and Bridgeport Fire Department were also dispatched to the scene after reports of a possible structure fire.
Upon arrival, there were no active flames, according to Wise County EMS Chief Randall Preuninger.
“We investigated and found evidence of burned areas in the home but there was no active fire,” he said. “Unsure if the burns we found occurred during this [incident] or something previous.”
