Making her state debut in her sophomore season, Decatur’s Maddyx Coffman cemented her name amongst the top runners in Texas.
Coffman was one of 34 runners selected to the Texas Girls Coaches Association’s 2025 4A all-state team.
Missing out on a trip to Round Rock’s Old Settlers Park in her rookie campaign, Coffman sped her way to a top 30 finish at the state meet this season. She clocked a personal-record time of 12:00.30 to place 27th.
Coffman was the runner-up at the District 7-4A championships, turning in a time of 12:21.15. She clinched the Lady Eagles’ top finish at the 4A Region I championships by placing 17th (12:23), earning the region’s seventh individual state berth.

Paradise runners Taryn Stoltz and Allie McCormick earned 2025 TGCA 3A all-state berths. Stoltz placed 29th in 12:26.60, while McCormick clocked 12:42.90 for 53rd. MICAH MCCARTNEY | WCMESSENGER
Paradise freshman Taryn Stoltz and sophomore Allie McCormick were two of 38 runners selected to TGCA’s 3A all-state team.
Sitting in 10th at the 1-mile mark (4:27.20), Stoltz clocked 7:59 in the final half of the 3A girls 2-mile race, and turned in a 29th-place finish (12:26.60) in her first state race.
Stoltz’s breakout season also led her into the top 10 at district and regionals, placing seventh (12:09.24) and fifth (12:24.48), respectively.
In her second state run, McCormick ran 12:42.90 for 53rd.
McCormick earned a pair of top 10 finishes at the District 10-3A (5th, 12:05.85) and 3A Region II (8th, 12:32.04) meets.
