Dale Webster Anderson went to be with our Lord on June 8, 2025, in Decatur.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Dale’s life. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport, followed by a burial service at Eastside Cemetery.
Dale was born on Dec. 25, 1936, to Leslie J. and Dorothy (Cook) Anderson in Camden, NJ. Dale graduated from Moorestown High School in New Jersey before embarking on an illustrious career in the aerospace industry. He served as Vice President at Vought Aeronautics showcasing his expertise and leadership and previously, worked for Boeing. On May 2, 1956, Dale married Jean Mahone in Quilcene, WA. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and fond memories. His life led him to Texas in 1968, where he established deep roots and a strong legacy marked by dedication, achievement and love. Dale was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents L.J. and Dorothy Anderson and his son James Anderson.
Those left behind to cherish Dale’s legacy are his devoted wife, Jean, who stood by his side throughout their long and fulfilling marriage. Dale’s legacy also lives on through his son, Tim Anderson of Denton. He cherished his role as a grandfather, leaving behind four grandchildren, Kimberley Baber, Justin Anderson, Clayton Anderson and Matthew Anderson; each of whom will carry forward his spirit and values. He also leaves three great-grandchildren, Cohen Baber, Rhett Baber and Rune Anderson, who were a source of joy and pride for him. In addition, Dale is survived by his loving sister, Cynthia Scherrer of Oakton, VA, and a host of other relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.
Dale Anderson will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, integrity and love will continue to inspire those he touched throughout his remarkable life.
