Connie Marie Malek, 75, of Paradise went to be with her Lord Monday, March 30, 2026, in Denton
Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with burial at Megargel Cemetery in Megargel. Family received friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with rosary at 6 p.m.
Pallbearers included Dr. Russell Doubrava, Glenn Vrba, Dan August, Michael Richter, James Duffy and Raul Soto.
Funeral Mass was officiated by Father Anto Carloose, Father David Raj Maria and Deacon Myles Miller.
Connie was born Oct. 31, 1950, to August John and Cecilia Mary (Marek) Gallia in Waco. She was united in marriage Sept. 13, 1980, to Edwin William Malek in Dallas. Connie and her husband, Edwin, were active in The Knights of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Cecilia Gallia.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of over 45 years, Edwin Malek of Paradise; her children, Eric Malek and wife, Lu; and Niki and Angela; grandchildren, Brayden and Bella Malek; extended family and a host of friends.
