Bobbie Alene Laing, 63, of Decatur, went to be with her Lord Thursday, March 5, 2026, in Plano.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Friday, March 13 at House of Prayer in Newark, with burial at Aurora Cemetery. Rick Neathery will officiate.
Bobbie was born May 22, 1962, to Harold Joe and Eva Charlene (Hopper) Norris, Sr. in Fort Worth. She was united in marriage Nov. 8, 1997, to Michael Laing in Richardson. Bobbie was a retired editorial writer. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Norris, Sr.; her husband, Mike Laing; and her daughter, Angela Charlene Timmons.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Charlene Norris of Decatur; her daughter, April Kelly of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her son, Jeremy Timmons of Decatur; her sisters, Larenda Phelps and husband, Lee of North Richland Hills, Rebecca Stephenson and husband, Ken of North Richland Hills; her brother, Harold Norris, Jr. of Decatur; grandsons, Aiden, Sean, Quinn, River Duke of Colorado Springs, Colo., Logan and Graydon Laing of Rowlett, and Lucas Froeschl of Garland; her step-sons, Cameron and William Laing of Plano; her previous husband, Daniel Timmons of Corpus Christi; her dog, baby girl Pepper; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
