Betty Ann White, born on Oct. 7, 1954, in Ringling, OK, departed this life on Aug. 4, 2025, in Decatur.

Funeral is 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2025 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Pleasant Grove #1 Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

William Brooks will officiate at her remembrance, and pallbearers honoring her legacy include Charles Romines, Glenn Romines, Tommy Romines, Johnny Romines, Paul Romines and Joe Romines.

A high school graduate, Betty devoted her working years significantly to the community. She initially worked at Renshaw Drug for seven years before dedicating an impressive 38 years of her career as a bookkeeper for Karl Klement Ford, where she became a respected figure among her colleagues and clients.

On Oct. 21, 1978, Betty was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Stephen Ray White, marking the beginning of a partnership built on love and mutual respect. Throughout her life, Betty was cherished not only as a devoted wife but also as a loving mother and grandmother. Her warmth and kindness made her a beloved aunt and friend to many who now gather to remember her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 46 years, Stephen White; and their three children, James White and wife, Anginette; Michael White with his partner, Jodie Shireman; and Melissa Green; her eight grandchildren, James, William, Matthew, Maddie, Caiden, Gabriel, Cole, and Shalea; and eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Linda Carpenter and husband, Clarence; Martha Bryant; and Peggy Moore and husband, Harold; her brothers, Glenn Romines and wife, Jan; Charles Romines and wife, Elaine; Tommy Romines; Johnny Romines and wife, Tina; Joe Romines and wife, Elaina; and Paul Romines and wife, Cindy Romines. Her legacy extends beyond her family to a wide circle of friends and extended family who will miss her dearly.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Lula Romines, who instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion that she carried throughout her life. 

As we reflect on Betty’s life, we remember her dedication to her family and her enduring spirit that touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered fondly, forever in the hearts of her loved ones.
