The Bridgeport Bulls golf program stood on familiar ground at Legends Golf Course in Kingsland in May. Making their third trip in four years to the 4A state tournament, the program climbed back to the mountaintop and proved that its quick rise to prominence had been no fluke.

Just 371 days after celebrating their first state title at the same venue, the Bulls’ Aiden Green, Zach Kehoe, Brady Mann, Collin Moody and Colten Paradise capped off a strong 2025 campaign by hoisting the championship trophy for the second consecutive year.

Led by Alan Green — a three-time state championship coach (golf — 2024, 2025; boys basketball — 2015) — the Bulls golf program clinched their second straight Wise County Messenger‘s Boys Team of the Year honor.

“I’m excited for our team, especially for our seniors, who have put so much time into our golf program,” Coach Green said about the award. “I know there’s lots of other great teams and programs in all of Wise County, so to be selected as a Team of the Year recipient is something we definitely take a lot of pride in.”

Finishing 7-over-par, Bridgeport shot a two day total 590 (295-295) and won the state tournament handily, beating runner-up and Region I rival Andrews (308-309—617) by 27 strokes. Mabank took the team bronze with 624 (319-305).

After starting the final round three shots off the lead, Aiden Green — the coach’s sophomore son — surged up the leaderboard, claiming the program’s first individual state title with a 2-under 142 (73-69).

“It’s really hard to put watching that moment unfold into words,” Coach Green said. “As a coach, you feel like you have a pretty good gauge on what’s going on within your team, but you really have that when your own offspring’s playing. Seeing some of the struggles Aiden had early on, it was amazing to witness it all come together for him during those two rounds.”

Mann, an Abilene Christian University signee, closed his high school career with a third-place finish. His two-round 145 (71-74) tied for second, but he lost to silver medalist Kyle Doolittle (Comal Davenport) in a one-hole playoff.

Aiden Green and Mann were recently selected as 2025 TAGC 4A First Team All-State players.

A Midwestern State University signee, Collin Moody capped off his run with the Bulls by earning a top-10 finish, placing ninth with 150 (76-74) and earning TAGC 4A Second Team All-State honors.

Sophomore Colten Paradise was picked as a TAGC 4A Honorable Mention selection. He swung for 15th at state with a two-day 153 (75-78).

Earning the silver medal at the 2024 4A state meet, Kehoe shot a two-day 162 (78-84) and finished 37th in his final state appearance.

Bridgeport punched its ticket back to state by claiming the program’s first 4A Region I title April 16-17 at Shadow Hills Golf Course in Lubbock.

Mann finished third overall at 4-under (71-69—140), securing the individual bronze medal.

Moody, who claimed gold at the 2024 regional tournament, closed with an even-par 72 after going 2-over in the opening round to finish seventh with 146 (74-72).

Kehoe (T-13th, 74-73—147) and Green (21st, 74-77—151) carded top 2 finishes, while Paradise (79-76— 155) tied for 34th. Cason Lanfear shot a two-day 162 (81-81) to finish tied for 44th, and served as the team’s alternate at the state tournament.

“Region I is one of the toughest regions in 4A golf, but I always say it’s like that because we’re in that region, too,” Coach Green said. “We struggled the first day, and that was a gut-check for us. But coming down the stretch, we were able to put a little bit of distance between us and the other teams. I think our success at regionals really speaks to the championship-caliber team that we’ve built here — even when it’s not going the best for us, we dig in and try to find a way to win.”

Prior to the regional tournament, the Bulls dominated the field at the 7-4A championships March 31 at Wichita Falls Country Club, earning the team’s third consecutive league title. Bridgeport finished with a total score of 586 (292-294), defeating second-place Krum (646) by 60 strokes.

The Bulls dominated the leaderboard, securing five of the top six individual spots.

Paradise (71-74— 145) was crowned as the district champion, while Moody (76-71) and Kehoe (70-77) tied for second after shooting 147 each. Mann (73-75 — 148) placed fourth — one stroke behind Moody and Kehoe — while Green (75-77) carded 165 for sixth.

Following their second straight state title win, the Bulls were invited to play in the 2025 PGA National High School Invitational Tournament, scheduled for July 20-22 at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.

Bridgeport played in the 2024 PGA tournament event, held at the Omni PGA Resort in Frisco. The Bulls shot a three-day team total 855 (283-294-278) to place ninth.

With Aiden Green and Paradise serving as the team’s lone returners for the 2025-26 campaign, the coach expects his pair of junior golfers to fill the program’s leadership roles.

“I think Aiden and Colten have earned the opportunity to be our team’s leaders based on their play,” Coach Green said. “They’re very respected within the 4A world of golf… Our guys have been playing all summer, and I can’t wait for us to get going and set the tone for next season. It’s going to be a battle in our own district with Krum and Burkburnett. But we’re hoping to be there, too. We’re ready for the challenge.”
