The wreck on Farm Road 51 north of Decatur near Charlie’s Road was reported shortly after 3 p.m. Based on initial reports, Wise County EMS Chief Randall Preuninger said the pickup appeared to be pulling out onto FM 51 when it was T-boned by a southbound 18-wheeler.
After the initial collision, the Chico’s Trucking 18-wheeler left the roadway and struck a fence before coming to a stop across the driveway of a nearby residence. Both vehicles sustained major damage in the wreck.
