BOIL WATER NOTICE — The City of Boyd issued a boil water notice Tuesday after a water main was damaged. According to the city, water system pressure fell below 20 psi across the entire system. Water for drinking, cooking and ice-making should be boiled and cooled before consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. After testing the water, the city will notify customers about lifting the notice. The City of Alvord lifted their boil water notice Tuesday for a separate water line leak over the weekend on Elm Street after receiving lab results on the water samples.

The Rhome City Council appointed a city administrator at their meeting Thursday. Council members unanimously appointed Amanda DeGan to lead the city.
