TWO FLOWN FROM WRECK — Multiple medical helicopters flew patients from a two-vehicle accident on Texas 114 near County Road 3330 just east of Bridgeport to Metroplex hospitals Wednesday night. Jakob Lowry, 19, was flown to a Fort Worth hospital. Kacley Hazelwood, 20, was flown to Medical City in Denton. The crash occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. A Toyota Corolla driven by Hazelwood was traveling west on Texas 114. “The driver of the Corolla failed to control the vehicle’s speed and collided into the rear of a white Ford F-350 pickup,” said Department of Public Safety spokesperson Sgt. Ricky Hunter. The driver of the truck, Danilo Arias, 33, was not injured. Two other passengers in the Corrolla, Keigen Cornell, 20, and Emma Self, 18, were transported to Wise Health System in Decatur with injuries. Texas 114 was closed until 10:11 p.m. An Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter out of Mineral Wells and a PHI helicopter from Denton responded to fly the two patients. Three Wise County EMS ambulances were requested and responded.
