BOYD WOMAN INJURED IN WRECK — A Boyd woman was taken to a Fort Worth hospital after a truck lost control and rolled upside down in a creek between Boyd and Paradise Friday night. Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Sgt. Ricky Hunter said the one-vehicle wreck happened at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Texas 114. Preliminary investigation indicates a 1997 Mazda pickup, driven by Nicolas Anderson of Boyd was traveling east on Texas 114. The Mazda was traveling at an unsafe speed for the weather conditions and lost control, Hunter said. The Mazda drove into a creek and came to rest upside down. The passenger, Ally Evans of Boyd, was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital with serious injuries. Wise County EMS and the Boyd Fire Department joined Texas DPS troopers at the scene.
