SUPPLY RUNS SHORT ON OMICRON TREATMENT — With the Omicron variant of COVID-19 spreading rampantly across Texas and the nation, Wise Health System and several facilities are finding themselves without a supply of the most effective treatment against it, sotrovimab. “Due to a national shortage from the federal government of the monoclonal antibody, sotrovimab, Wise Health System, along with all regional infusion centers across Texas, will not be able to offer sotrovimab until January,” said a statement from the hospital Tuesday.
