OVERNIGHT HOUSE FIRE – A home near Decatur was destroyed in an early morning fire. The Decatur Fire Department responded to a report of a fully-involved home in the 100 block of Private Road 1114 west of the city around 1:45 a.m. Alvord, Bridgeport and Chico fire departments were also called for mutual aid on the fire, which destroyed a double-wide mobile home. Wise County EMS also responded for medical standby. The home’s resident was able to escape without injury.
