Local pigeon racer wins in South Africa

Decatur pigeon racer C.L. Gage Jr. won high honors earlier this month at the annual Million Dollar South Africa Pigeon Race. Gage’s bird finished seventh out of 2,167 birds in the final 336-mile race in Johannesburg, South Africa. Gage said it took the birds 10 hours and 37 minutes to complete the race. His bird finished third among U.S. entries. […]
