A major leak at the Bridgeport water plant Thursday morning has left the city without water. Bridgeport ISD announces early release

Bridgeport ISD will release students at 12:30 p.m. Thursday due to a lack of water. A major leak was reported at the water plant about 8:30 a.m., and since then the plant has been shut down for repairs. Bridgeport Community Relations Manager Amber Fogelman said residents will likely be without water until at least 10 p.m.    

Water repairs ongoing, boil water notice in effect
