MONDAY, DEC. 26

SILVER SPUR ROAD

Decatur Police Department contacted Wise County Sherriff’s Office for assistance to attempt to find a missing person. Deputy arrived at the residence and observed the missing person’s vehicle in the driveway. Deputy made contact with reported missing person who stated he was fine. He just did not want to be around family.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 21

SADDLE RIDGE — A woman informed her “Life Alert” notification system of a disturbance between she and her common-law husband. Deputy arrived and spoke with both parties. Both parties said it was a verbal disturbance only over the other person being controlling.

SATURDAY, DEC. 24

COUNTY ROAD 2690 — Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance where two men were fighting. Deputies detained both men who were intoxicated. Both subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct.

COUNTY ROAD 2224 — A man wished to have some illegal dumping documented. He believed that unknown people were targeting his location to dump trash.

COUNTY ROAD 2690 — Complainant advised his father threatened him during a verbal argument. He also advised his father was growing marijuana at the residence. Deputies secured the residence and the homeowner gave consent to search. Consent search of the home yielded a small number of marijuana plants, not ready to harvest, and a small amount of paraphernalia. All contraband appeared to be for personal use and was seized for destruction. Deputy interviewed all parties in regards to the verbal threats. Deputy discovered it was all verbal and complainant was never in immediate danger. The son was transported by family away from the residence for the night.

U.S. 81/287 NORTHBOUND — Deputy observed a vehicle traveling in the left lane that was not passing and tailgating another vehicle. Contact was made with the driver, and the odor

of burnt marijuana was detected. Probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. Paraphernalia was located.

TEJAS COURT — A woman reported her husband slapped her after she poked him in the face with her finger for upsetting her. Complainant was not injured and did not want further action taken. Both parties calmed down and apologized to the other.

SUNDAY, DEC. 25

SHERIFF’S OFFICE — A man reported his trailer had been stolen from the 718 RV Park. Complainant advised the trailer is not in his name, and he was unable to provide a detailed description or any identifying numbers. He was advised to find proof of ownership and identifying information. Complainant advised he will find the information and follow up.

DECATUR STREET IN ALVORD — Complainant advised his car was stolen by his ex-wife. Deputy later discovered both parties were still married. The incident was documented in the event the complainant calls again about the vehicle not being returned.

MONDAY, DEC. 26

PRIVATE ROAD 2698 — Caller was concerned regarding a civil dispute over a vehicle and potential fraud using her personal information. Due to no offense being committed at this time, an incident report was made to document her concerns.

ROGERS ROAD — Deputies were dispatched to an assault report. After extensive investigation with both parties, who had already separated prior to arrival, deputies were unable to determine a primary aggressor. A suspect case was filed on behalf of both to document this incident. Both sides desired to press charges, while neither side desired medical assistance.

COUNTY ROAD 1460 — A woman stated her daughter located an RV on Craigslist for sale. Complainant stated she initiated contact with a man listed on the ad to inquire about the RV. She stated a deal was negotiated over the phone and a sales price of $10,000 with a $500 deposit was agreed upon. Complainant stated a wire transfer was made between banks for the $500 deposit. She stated she went to retrieve the RV from the seller located in Dallas. Complainant stated a fake address was given, and the RV was not at the location given by the seller. She contacted the seller and was told the ad was fake and the seller needed money.

MARSHALL ROAD — A man stated his dog was shot by neighbor with a .22 caliber rifle while he was at work. Dog was determined to be on the driveway of neighbor’s property. Complainant wished to pursue charges, and charges were filed at large.

MARSHALL ROAD — While working the above case; complainant stated he was shot in the head by an unknown projectile. On arrival deputy observed complainant to have a bloodied head and an injury, later determined to be from a .177 caliber pellet. He wished to pursue charges and charges filed at large as he had no suspects or observed anyone that may have shot him.

COUNTY ROAD 3212 — A verbal disturbance took place between parties over a property line dispute.
