According to the sales tax collections for April released Wednesday in the Texas Comptroller’s June disbursement report, all but two cities (Chico and New Fairview) experienced an increase for the same period in 2019. In the June disbursement, which is based on April sales, Wise County collected $391,521 off its half-cent levy, a 6.36 percent increase from June 2019’s $368,099. Decatur’s sales tax collections increased 9.36 percent with the city’s June disbursement of $415,453 off its 1.5-cent levy. The city saw an increase of $35,591 from the April 2019 sales.
