TASTE OF WISE — The Wise County Chamber of Commerce’s 11th annual Taste of Wise event is 5-8 p.m. today at the Decatur Conference Center. It will feature Wise County restaurants and wineries along with booths from various groups, businesses and organizations. As you visit the various tables, there will be live entertainment. Kate Cowling will perform from 5-5:45. Chris Lee will be on stage from 6-6:45. Judi Conger ends the performances from 7-7:45. Tickets for the event are $10.

MOBILE FOOD PANTRY — U-Turn World Ministries will host a Tarrant Area Food Bank mobile food pantry 2-5 p.m. today at the church, 306 N. Texas 101, in Chico. A mobile food truck will deliver food to the location, and it will be distributed in a drive-thru.

AMATEUR RADIO CLUB — The West Fork Amateur Radio Club will meet 7 tonight at the Paradise Volunteer Fire Department. The group welcomes anyone who is currently an amateur radio operator or those who would like to know more about amateur radio. Call Scott at 940-389-0200.

SPAGHETTI SUPPER — Spaghetti suppers will be served at the Decatur Conference Center before each Decatur Eagles’ home football games this season beginning Friday. Proceeds will benefit the Decatur Police Department scholarship for local students. Dinner is $10 per plate and will be served 5-7 p.m. before each game. REPUBLICANS TO SHOW DOCUMENTARY — The Wise County Republican Party will show the documentary “Grid Down, Power Up” with special guest Texas Senator Bob Hall 3-5 p.m. Saturday at the Arcadia Theater in downtown Bridgeport. For tickets email info@wisetxgop.com.

VOLLEYBALL MATCHES — Decatur opens the Volleypalooza tournament in Austin today. Bridgeport and Paradise are at the Godley tournament, while Boyd and Alvord play in the Nocona tournament. Chico will battle in the Southwest tournament in Fort Worth, and Northwest will travel to the San Marcos tournament. VCA hosts Burton Adventist tonight at 5 p.m.

FREE DIABETES CLASS — Total Diabetes Care will hold a free, 11-week diabetes management class at 6 p.m. on Thursdays, starting today. It’s in the Magnolia Room at Wise Health System main campus in Decatur. The self management education program covers topics that are key to living successfully with diabetes and includes a free A1c screening. Call 940-626-1890 to reserve a spot.

U.S. 380 TRAFFIC ALERT — U.S. 380 Business will be reduced to one lane for pavement repairs from Farm Road 51 to U.S. 380 for maintenance activities from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. today and Friday. Seek alternate routes. Motorists should expect delays. Flaggers will assist in directing traffic.
