Update for Friday February 19, 2021

HELP WITH WATER SHUT OFFS — The Wise County Joint Emergency Operation Control has activated four water control teams and staged one in each county precinct to assist with emergency water shut-offs at homes and businesses, both in the county and inside city limits. The teams cannot make repairs but will turn off meters or electricity to wells. Due to current conditions, there is a risk of damage to valves. The county is not assuming any liability for damage. To request assistance, call the Wise County Sheriff’s Office, 940-627-5971. If it’s an emergency, call 911.
