Stephen Vance Renshaw, M D , died at home on Nov. 7, 2022 Memorial service is 11 a.m Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Benbrook Flowers may be sent to First Baptist Church of Benbrook, 1015 McKinley Street, Benbrook, Texas, 76126 or donations to Tunnel To Towers Foundation (t2t.org).

Vance was born on Oct. 13, 1958, in Baltimore, Md. to Sally Marie Tull Renshaw and Charles Lucius Renshaw. He was the eldest son of four children His parents relocated the family to Fort Worth upon his father’s completion of medical school and residency. Vance attended high school at Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Tulane University; bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington, doctor of medicine degree at Tulane University School of Medicine and internship of general surgery at Baylor University. He was a board-certified emergency room physician as a graduate of the Henry Ford Emergency Room Program in Detroit.

Vance married the love of his life, Rebecca LeBlanc, on April 14, 1993. Their passion for medicine and helping others was the foundation of their 30 amazing years together. Additionally, he was an avid hunter, musician, incredibly intelligent, a storyteller, enjoyed politics, and loved his home, family, his country and the outdoors.

Vance is survived by his wife, Rebecca; three children, Kalah, Sean, and Chelsea; six grandchildren, Brayden, Stephen, Isabella, Tripp, Kasin, and Levi; and three siblings, Lisa Patenaude and husband, Mark, and their children, Lucius, Adrian and Andy, Scott Renshaw and his daughter, Olivia and Julie Weber and husband, Stephen, and their children, Charles and Olivia. Vance was a man of faith and the rock of his family. He will be greatly missed.
